Jack Wright, Hospital Reps, Inc Regional Sales Manager

A 1973 Texas Christian graduate and a 1975 MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), Jack has been involved in medical products sales since 1981 and medical database software sales since 1985.

From 1986 until 2005 Jack served as the South Central Regional Manager for Micromedex, and the territory grew from just $300k to more than $9 Million in annual revenue during this period.  During this time, he helped Micromedex to pioneer use of CD-ROM technology within the hospital market and gained extensive experience with information systems and delivery platforms (IBM CICS, COBOL, SCO UNIX, NOVELL, HTML/XML, SUN/SOLARIS, NT, and others).  He was a 4-time winner of the company’s “Regional Manager of the Year” award, and won the 2000 “Professional Excellence” award across all of Thomson Corporation’s Thomson Healthcare division, which had previously acquired Micromedex to add to its many healthcare companies.

Jack has years of experience in both clinical and financial presentations to all levels of hospital decision makers. His responsibilities have included full P&L responsibility for his region as well as technical support and training of clinicians, and interaction with and presentations to various individual and organizational members of consortiums, buying groups, and military and government contracts.
